I was wondering if anyone had a link for the recall history for the 99 cavaliers.
My g/f is buying one and her fuel guage is faulty...it reads that it's at half when it's really empty.

I thought I head about a recall that had been made for the 2000 models related to the sending unit in the gas tank but I'm not 100% sure that goes for the 99 models as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

might wanna call your local Chevy dealership and ask. they wil lhelp you. mine had a recall on a ignition problem

There may be a TSB, but no recall on the '99...mine has been dead for 3+ years now. Just fill it back up every 300 miles and you should have no worries.
