Okay guys i might get burned for this but i kinda need some help so here it goes. I drive a 2001 Z24 and have a problem. I am not asking how to remove the governor on the car i already know how to do that and i also know asking or mentioning how its done will get this locked what i need to know is what i am wanting to do is put a new speedometer on the dash because as we all know out speedometers do not read anything much over 110 has anybody done this before?? and also im not sure if my speedometer will even work correctly after removing the governor anyways let me know guys if ya can and if this thread gets canned sorry but i needed to at least try
Oh this will be locked to you can bet !

I think your gonna have to get a digital gauge but it probably is possible. It's not like the sensor stops reading speed after 110. Call up Dakota Digital and see what they say.
Ya, this might get locked pretty soon, maybe not, so that's my advice to u.

My sister's Mazda 6 reads 140mph. it looks soooo fast!!!!
in before lock!
If you don't have good tires you shouldn't be removing the governor, this thread will get locked.
Well glad i got some feed back on this b4 its locked lol and thanks jacob for letting me know i shouldnt do this your a real sweet heart and all i can say is pinch it off if anybody else has any ideas let me know i dont really want to go digital but if i have to i guess i will
You may want to try like Black Cat Customs or one of those guys and see what they can do. If I remember correctly he makes one that goes up to like 140 or so.

#1. If you removed your governer by disabling the VSS, nothing you will do will make any speedometer you use work.
#2. Black cat customs gauges will not go over 140 unless you remove the governer the right way (IE HP Tuners).
#3. Don't post again about removing the governer using illegal methods like the VSS. This is considered odometer fraud since you disable the odometer, and is definately illegal.
