hello,,
I took off my head from my 2.0 ohc 1990 sunbird gt and i found a blown head gasket,,,,and what i was told by someone is my head cracked inbetween the valves,,,,now there looks to be a crack or a indentation of somesort inbetween all 4 sets of valves....isnt it funny all 4 cly valves would have cracks between them?? But the gasket only blew out at 3 and 4,, and also cause it almost looks like the indent lines are so pefect they are their from the factory or something,,just a thought??
So does anyone know if these are indeed cracks or did they come from the factory like this with some sort of indents there.
Also i would like to know im going searching for a used head tomorrow at a upick junk yard what should i be getting...i think my head is alum by the look of it...but do i have to get a head from a 2.0l that had non turbo and tbi like my car or am i able to put on a different turbo or multi port injected 2.0 ohc head onto my engine and still work with my tbi and non turbo car?? also whats the non alum heads on...i have to stay with alum right?
Magnaflux will tell you....
