Driving home from college tonight on the highway and notice my low coolant light would come on and go off. It did that the whole 13 mile trip. I probably do need to put some coolant into it. This happen about a month ago, except it only came on and off once. So I put coolant in it and thought I didn't over fill it. Well i went to a friends house and back less than 5 miles away and noticed coolant leaking out of the overflow tank. I probably did over fill it. Is there a bigger problem that I am unaware of. I'm going to replace the cap tomorrow see if that helps. Any other suggestions besides bleeding if there is an air pocket?
Thanks,
Josh
It bleeds itself you dont need to. Replacing the cap will only waste money. You should maybe check your coolant level if the low coolant light is on, thats at least the first thing that comes to my mind.

or check the sensor at the bottom of the tank, it could be loose
I checked it this morning and it looked like coolant leaked out of the overflow tube. Why it would poor out?
Thanks,
Josh
Replace the cap and see if it fixes the problem.
sounds like a failing water pump to me. Check the weep holes on the back of the pump. same thing happened with my car, light would go on and off going up hills and what not and it was cuz i was low on coolant. so i checked the waterpump and that was it
sometimes the switch in the tank will stick and it wont rise when the fluid rises so if yah fill it and it stays on give the switch a few little taps with the butt of a screwdriver.
