wire coming from the ignition, where does it go?
Saturday, June 10, 2006 9:43 AM
I just recently replaced my dash in my 96 2.2 manual cavy and I have everything back in but there is a black and black/white wire coming from my ignition and I don't remember unplugging it but I can't find where it goes. Any body know were it goes?

Nothing showing in Chilton's limited diagram. My best guess is that if you don't remember unplugging it, chances are it was held in place by a screw/bolt/nut that you took out. How does the wire want to lay naturaly? Any attachment points nearby? Black wires very commonly used for ground connections.

The wire has a clip on the end of it as if something goes into it... I can't get my car to stay started b/c of the passlock and everything is installed except that one wire. It probably is a ground wire, just got to figure out were it goes.

it goes all the way up to your cluster. there shuold be a place with a plug for it next to the other harness on your cluster.

I know that the cluster has the main harness and one beside it but I thought it was for the dimmer switch. I will look and see. thanks for the info.
