Alright here is my situation, I have a 2005 cavalier with an auto tranny. When the car warms up to running temp I can rev it up and let it fall back down from 2000 down it ticks...and also whenever i rev it and hold it between 1500-2000 rpms it ticks. What does this sound like, I have no clue as of yet what it is...and i don't want to take it in for warranty work becuase i'll ahve to strip the car of the nitrous.
aww man if you have nitrous on it and you hear ticking its probably your valves bro a knock would be a rod but a tick is that you probably bent a valve or something similar, either you can try to put some lucas oil additive (works wonders) or strip that nitrous and get the work done.
I tried the lucas oil additive no help....the engine only has 16,000 miles on it...the nitrous was installed correctly only ran a 50 wet shot. So I have no clue what has happend...damn cheap gm's oh well.
My friend did the same thing, I told him not to put NOS in his 2003 cavalier, Hes got the same problem. at idle you can hear a tick sound, Then high rmps same thing. Hes noly got 30,000k on his.
yeah you never know what might happen with n2o i only ran it 3 times (installed right, high octane gas etc.) and i spun a bearing
