ok so the brake and third brake light are not coming on. but when i turn my headlights on they come on but when i press the brake they stay the same shade of red. also when i turn left or right they blink. but when i brake they do not show brake light. any ideas??? theres a wire under the break pedal that was cut for the alarm a while back but the brake lights were working fine and then one day bam didnt work. i havent checked the wire. but if the wire is still connected what should i check next??? btw i dont have the alarm in the car but i dont see how that would affect the brake light because even when i took alarm off the brake lights were working fine. its dangerous to ride without brake lights. i need help please.
also sometimes my a/c stops working. and when i accelerate it starts working again.
and my digital mileage sometimes doesnt show part of it.. any ideas?

Okay the first thing I'd check is the most simple the fuse. If so you know the wiring up to the fuse is good. Then check for power at the bulbs, if no power there, then you obviously have a problem either at the BOO switch ( most likely) or all the wires after it suddenly broke.
More than likely when NONE of the brake light bulbs work it is the BOO switch.

i would just run the wires from the 2 wires that should be underneith the back dash cover where the speakers are. thats where they are supposed to be hooked up to anyways

what wires???
the lights dont even come on when i put my emergency brake on...(dont really know if that makes them come on)
whats the B00 switch.???
is the brake fuse inside the car to the side of the steering wheel or under the hood?

Okay I dont know the location of your fuses. It is usually located in your owners manual, a diagram that is to show you the locations of fuses.
Secondly a BOO switch is, brake on/off. They dont normally cost to much like $15 for a really cheap one. But me I buy only dealer parts so it is more there of course.

When the lights light up at all its not a fuse cause obviously they're getting power or they wouldn't light up at all.
It sounds like someone stuck a wrong lightbulb in someplace cause sticking a single filiment bulb where a double is supposed to go will do what your describing. Have you replaced any bulbs before you noticed this?
Did it go into a shop for any reason at all and they said they replaced one? If I were you the first thing I'd do is check and make sure all the tail light and turn signal bulbs are the correct ones that should be there.
And if it were a stop light switch your brake lights on the tails wouldn't work either.

ok in a 2002 se 2 dr coupe what are the lights that it has....
headlamp
front fog light
front turn signal left and right
reverse light
brake light left and right
third brake light
rear turn signal
if yall could give me the light bulb numbers for these ill let ya know whats going on. or are they in the owners manual?
see they were working fine. and then boom no more. im so frustrated

No, if the BOO switch fails. Your tail lights will still work, your brake lights wont.

ok the lights work when
i put the turn signal to turn left or right.
or
when at night i turn the headlamps on.
but when i brake at night with the headlamps on the tail lights do not get any red-er....so it should get reder when i press the brake pedal but it stays the same shade of red as if im just driving with headlamps on.
and in the day time unless i turn my headlamps on(not drl) or i put the turn signal either left or right ) you cannot see any light on thru the tail lights.
now i ask you is this that b00 switch???

Yes, sounds like the BOO switch is bad.
It being bad will cause no brake lights to work, but the taillights will still work.

Normally on the top of the brake pedal, hence the name brake on/off.
