Power Steering Pump

I am having some issues with the power steering pump on my 96 Sunfire 2.2L. I installed a new power steering pump myself and then took my car to a local mechanic and they say that my power steering pump is leaking where the reservior meets the pump (the tube appears to be leaking). The mechanic's recommendation is to get a power steering pump with a reservoir assembly. Do I have to replace the whole power steering pump? Can't I just get a reservoir and the tube alone? Please help, I have already had the mechanic put on a rack and pinion to the tune of $727 and cannot afford anymore work. The first pump I put on myself and I feel that there was nothing wrong with it but when my mechanic put on the rack and pinion they insisted that I get a new power steering pump, they are the ones who put the resevior onto the new pump, why didn't they see a problem then?? Where can I purchase a power steering pump with a reservoir? It is my understanding that most auto part stores sell just the pump without the reservoir. Thank you in advance for your advice.

You should be able to get just the reservoir. Go find one at a wrecking yard.
