Just wondering if when our cars miss do they throw a cel. Just got thru with some new plugs and i dont think one of them went in right, and it kinda sounds rough every once in a while. Didnt sound liek it before with the older carbon covered plugs. 1996 2.2l btw.

It will throw a code. Either a specific cylinder, or it will say Random Multi-Cylinder Misfire. If say, you're trying to accelerate from a stop sign, pass, or whatever, and it starts to misfire, the CEL should start flashing while it's doing so.
generic codes are
po300 random/multipul misfires
p0301 cylender 1 missfire
p0302 cylender 2 missfire
p0303 cylender 4 missfire
p0304 cylender 4 missfire
and cel should flash not be on for missfires
