Well I have a 95 sunfire manual and lately I cant get it to stay in reverse it keeps popping out as soon as there is pressure in reverse anyone know how to fix it linkage ? I hope not the tranny ?

If it goes in, but then when power is applied it pops out, that generally indicates a problem with the actual transmission.

The first thing I'd do is check your linkage for binding cables.

sounds like cables to me. not too hard of a fix, not too expensive parts either

Let me clarify my statement. If you can slide the gearshift in, have it sit in reverse, have the car running and clutch depressed.....then you apply power to the car by bringing the clutch out, THEN it pops out of gear, it is an internal problem with the tranny. If you just simply can't get it to stay in reverse position, it's a linkage problem.
