I can't figure out what this is, I looked it up in my chiltons and its still not clear to me what it is.

according to the chiltons manual it could be part of the cruise control, but the cruise control brake controller is part of the switch next to the one circled.

as you can see in the wiring schematic, the cruise control brake switch can be either brown or purple.
The wiring going into the switch circled is pink and brown, where as the wiring going into the switch next to it is pink and purple. What I am thinking is that its the cruise control switch for the standard transission and the one next to it is pink and purple because its just a generic wiring harness for either??? Anyone?

AH! The problem is that I accidentally ripped it out and threw it away when I was cleaning up my mess from ripping out the HVAC ducting. I just need to know what it is so I can stop obsessing over it. So whatever info you guys come up with will definately help. thanks.

Scott

Okay it appears it is the cruise control brake switch and the one next to it is the CC clutch switch.

Pink and brown wiring, is for the cruise control brake switch.

Looks like GM put both stop lamp and cruise controll cancel switch on one module (lower picture). What you have pictured in the top one that's circled could be the tranny release switch so you can only pull it out of park while the brake is pressed.
