will an o2 sensor sim shut my damn check engine light up so that ill pass emissions or will the computer still pick the codes up? Its my exhuast/cat setting it off not the sensors
Generally, the sim will/should fool your PCM. However, A) Newer cars my be too smart for that to work; B) If it does work, you won't know how your cat is doing -- not that is critical or anything.
Yes, and O2 sim will work. The way emission test is now done is they plug the scan tool into your OBDII port. They see if your computer has performed the test it should and it passed those, if yes than you passed.
