Hello. I've got an '01 Sunfire that has recently had both wheel bearings changed. It has now started making a rather annoying clicking/popping noise during take off. This happens when I accelerate from a dead stop, and also happens in reverse. I hear what sounds like 2 clicking noises, and then everything is fine. I can't hear anything when the car is moving, it only happens on take off.
Someone told me it might be a strut mount, and the clicking occurs when taking off because weight is being taken off of the strut. Does this make sense? The car has 115K (kilometers) on it.

OK, thanks. You sound pretty confident, so I won't ask if you are sure. From what I have read on this site, this isn't real easy to change. I guess I shouldn't attempt it myself.
