I tackled a wiring issue I've put up with concerning my headlights for the second time around. This time I had two blue wires that were corroded (non-functional low-beams) and repaired the damage (splice/solder/heat-shrink/tape) and viola I got working low-beams again.
Now here's the problem, when I turn my lights on the signal indicator in the car stays lit up and when I use the signal (left btw) it blinks faster then it normally does. Easy fix right?...Wrong. I changed the bulbs and still having the same issue. I don't think I have anymore corroded wires and everything was working fine before when my low-beams weren't. Here's the low-down on what is and isn't working.
Lights ON > no side-marker and no turn signal (amber isn't on), turn indicator is ON
Signal ON > side-marker functional and turn signal isn't, turn indicator blinks fast
Hazards ON > side-marker functional and the turn signal isn't
I find it odd that the side-marker works when I use the signal but doesn't turn on when I have my low-beams on. I've changed the bulbs for both the side-marker and the turn signal with the same results. I've also checked the fuses and they all check out.
Any ideas on what could causing this gremlin?
do you have bumper lights, are the bulbs burnt out or unplugged
