Hi, I have a 96 2.2L auto with the same headgasket problem as everyone else - coolant blowing out of the head-to-block joint. I'm gonna do the gasket myself over the summer and am looking for tips anyone can offer.
For example, someone told me to not bother unbolting the exhaust manifold from the head. Just unbolt it from the collector. Saves you from buying a new gasket, scraping all the mating surfaces, etc.
Any other tips for doing this? About how long do you figure it should take?
