window problem?

Hey all, i have just recently noticed a problem on my 02 cav. When the drivers side window is closed and i'm driving at highyway speeds, the window sounds as if i have left it a crack open, i'm getting wind noise at the rear of the window. Jamming something between the inner window and the inner weatherstrip seems to dull the noise, could this be an alignment problem with the window/door?

Shouldn't be a problem with the alignment. You need to replace the black plastic piece on the end of your door that covers the window. Roll your window down and pull the weather stripping back from the rear of the door and look at the 3 screws that hold that plastic piece in place. My quess is that they are probably broken. If they are then hit up a dealer for a new one, they run about 20-25 odd dollars. That should fix your problem... if it doesn't then let us know.

The part I believe is called an Applique... part #: 22633723 or 22633724

well i checked the car and that part was broken at the screws, one was even missing, guess i must have leaned on the car to hard or something, i will check that part at the dealership next week. Now my next question is will i have to paint that part to match the car or are they all black? (being that my car is black)

Thanks for the help i hope this fixes the problem

They are all black. I'm almost 95% sure it will fix your problem. It probably wasn't your fault... they just break. You may want to check the other side as well. Also, I'm not sure if those part numbers are correct, but if you go to a dealership then they'll be able to get what you need.
