Recently i was on a trip and my little brother filled my car up and went to close the little door and it wouldnt stay shut. So i call him a dumb ass and go to close it my self, it dont stay shut damn. looking at it for a few seconds i notice the little pin that usually "Holds" the door shut is GONE, and all i have there now is a spring that use to make it work.
Now for the question, how can i fix this Pin? So my door doesn't look all retarded when im driving around.
Right now i have the little arm (the part on the door that usually touchs the pin) bent way out so that it can just grab the inside of the gas filler pocket/hole. but it wont stay shut, i hit a bump it'll pop back out.
Yup here you go. GM part # 22620382, GM calls it the fuel tank filler door latch and its a whole $10.00 at the dealer.
