coolant leak through overflow...

Okay, so I changed my radiator cap, made sure it was on all the way, and it still leaks out of the overflow hose. Any suggestions as to where I should go next?

why would the cap make it not leak from the overflow hose.. if its the hose then change the hose.

it's coming out of the hose that has no where to go... don't know what it's called other than the overflow. If the cap wasn't on or didn't work properly then my understanding is that this would make it leak out of there... but I'm not a mechanic that's why I'm asking

if im understanding what you're saying, its supposed to "leak" out, its to drain any extra coolant thats in the tank.

I had a similar problem with my original radiator cap. Would have to add a little antifreeze every few months. With a good cap the coolant level should be just below the overflow hose tube. I replaced it with one from NAPA and the coolant loss stopped. BTW don't buy junk parts from Autozone or equivalent. From my experience NAPA and Carquest are the best big chain parts stores.

God bless America.
