I have a '91 cav RS convertible. Ive had it for a while, runs good, but theres an issue with the HVAC. When i turn the fan control on highest setting (heat and A/C), it sounds like a lot of air would be coming out the vents, but hardly anything is coming out at all. What im saying is that the highest fan setting is equivalent to (on a normal working car) setting 1, maybe 2 if that. Im stumped, and have no idea what it could be. Any suggestions welcome.

hmmm, maybe a blocked heater channel or a clogged heater core? Maybe a vacuum line is cut and the deflector door is staying closed?
How does it work on the floor or on defroster? Is it the same low air?

Its the same on all levels: floor, defrost, main vents.
Is there anything i can toubleshoot?

Something similar happened with my car. It turned out to be foam pieces that had clogged the vents. Apparently the adhesive GM used wasn't too strong I guess.
How did you get it out?

had the same thing happen. what i did was pull off the dash pad and remove a huge peice of foam that got stuck in the air ducts

do you guys remember which vent it was stuck in, how far in it was, and what did you get to take it out?

for me it was in the center vents, they come off of one tube, and the peice was stuck in about an inch, i just reached in and grabbed it

The center vents as in the actual hvac itself (not the side ducts that install on driver/pass side)?
What year vechile did it happen on?
