HELP! idle problem
Friday, April 21, 2006 4:46 PM
very much need help here anyone, i jus got the car back together and ive got a nasty idle problem, the tb was off as well as sensors,

ive heard that when the tps is removed that i will get a high 2000 plus rpm idle for about 30 seconds, well i got that and it came down, but when it came down it is now...

bouncing consitantly between 1500rpm and 1000rpm, very quickly, like up down up down, no delay between, i cover the tb with my hand and the car stalls, so i dont think vacuum leak, but really guys, my insurance started back up, so im paying over 400 a month for the car to jus sit and really do nothing, so im REALLY in need of some help here, thanks!!!

I would check the idle air control valve aka iac by the front of the throttle body its held with two torx screws, unplug the connector remove the screws and pull it out clean it throughly, put it back and just in case reset the computer, simple and effective in a very similar case I had.Good luck.
