Turn signals stop blinking and go solid
Sunday, April 16, 2006 7:20 PM
Greetings,

I have a 99 cav 4dr sedan with 144k miles. At random times, the turn signals (and hazard lights) stop blinking and stay solid. I can usually get the turn signal working properly by flipping the hazard light switch and the turn signal level several times.

I religiously use my turn signals, so I can imagine that some sort of switch or something has been worn out. The fuses and connections all seem to be fine. Is there a unit that i will have to replace in the steering column, or elsewhere beneath the dash?

Thanks in advance.

Part #12450070 is the flasher unit for your car. This is more likely your problem then your alternator or your belt. The part is like $10.00 at the dealership so its not an expensive fix.

Good Luck hope this helps.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
