When you start your car again, there is
a lot of white smoke that comes out of your tailpipe. You're going to want to do this at a location in which you won't get in some kind of trouble for this- someone calling the fire dept or fining your or something dramatic like that.
One thing that I'm uncertain of is what effect all that carbon has on your o2 sensors and catalytic convertor, which would be a topic in itself. I personally had used SF twice through my throttle body- once at 25K miles and at 50K miles- before my catalytic convertor died at around 55K miles/8 years of age. Is there a connection there? I dunno. I sure would like to hear if others have had similar experiences.
I've used it every 15K miles. I put half in my gas tank, and the other half goes into the throttle body through the vacuum line. I have yet to have a problem, and my cavy runs really strong and gets really good gas mileage too.
can you just add the whole bottle in the gas tank? i have been wanting to use this stuff.
you can, but the effect won't be as great.

The cat crapping out isn't too unusual. Somewhat typical for OE cats on j-bodies to do so. You may have helped it along a little soner than normal, that's all.
My car doesn't smoke when i add seafoam through the throttle body..... any ideas why this could be? I have used it three times now and not seen ANY smoke once.

yeah you should change the oil about 100 miles afterwards, After you start it back up, go get the car warm and beat on it, run it through all the gears, at high RPM's then go get the oil changed and you will see all kinds of crap in the oil, its nasty.
Quick quesiton is i pour half in the gas tank, and then pour half down the throttle body, is there a better way to do this or is it fine, thanks

did you replace your cat because it was clogged or was it fine but you chose to replace it with a low-restriction so as to increase engine performance? In either case, did you notice a performance increase between your old cat and the new one?
I thought you could dump Seafoam into the crank case ?

I opted to go with a high-flow cat for performance. I hadn't yet noticed any clogged symptoms. For the record, direct sunlight was barely visible through the cat when they took it off. The high-flow cat let more exhaust note through (woo-hoo!), as well as exhaust. The car guy was amazed that it was CARB legal with the relative 'open' mesh catalyst screens. I think it was a Magnaflow cat? Anyway, I also put on a tuned muffler on as well. I did a number of things at once, so I can't say for sure just how much it helped by itself. Suffice it to say, most anything OTHER than OE is an improvement!!
