Hey everyone,
I have a 2000 Z24 with a 2.4L. I have recently been experiancing some bizare elec. problems. Intermittantly my fuel pump will not kick in on startup, every so-often while driving the car shuts down. The codes say that My crank pos. sensor and cam sensor have failed. I have changed my crank sensor, the code still comes up. All fuses are good, checked continuity of all grounds to PCM, tested the fuel pump by jumpering it at the relay. The fuel pump relay will buzz every once in while, sometimes nothing, other times fuel pump works. Tried swapping relays. I have an aftermarket deck that I installed with the module that has the speaker built in. I am thinking PCM or that module for the deck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks
Ryan
Well this has been some pain in my a@#. After many hours of troubleshooting I believe to have narrowed my search to the ignition switch. Tested the switch side of the PCM fuse and it intermittently read voltage anywhere from 3.5 to the 12 odd volts it should read. Turns out there is a recall to install a relay to prevent all the starting current from running through the switch. Hope this may narrow someone elses search.
