I use a little more than 5 quarts in my Ecotec......
it is 4L of oil in a 2200 with the PF47 (Delco or eqivulant (spelling??)) oil filter.
with the 51 , which i run, it is about 4.2 - 4.3L of oil.
im pretty sure the eco takes about 4.5L of oil, but cant remember off of the top of my head.
im too lazy to convert these to quarts for your guys, so do it yourselves lol

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
Just put 4L in mine today. At $8.50/L, oil changes suck right now
ecotecs that have the 8th vin digit of F take about 5qts, other ecotecs should take 4.5qts.
i'm almost positive...
Ecotecs take 5 quarts. Heres what I do go to Wal Mart $9.97 5 quart jug of oil. Dump the whole damn thing in there. Buy the filter from GM dealer at $6, oil change cost me about $16.
