I went to start my car this morning to go to class and it didn't start. The radio and dashboard lights came on, and I head what I thought was the fuel pump or someother electrical device coming on, but nothing happened to the engine. It didn't click, turn over, or anything. I checked all the wires, from the battery to the starter, and everything. The battery and starter are just over a year old and are fine. Just for @!#$s 'n grins I popped open the fuse box and pulled the PCM fuse to see if that would help. I waited a couple of minutes, and after I put it back and buttoned everything back up, the car started and ran like normal. This is the second time the car didn't want to start, but last time I got it push-started (thank you five speed) and after that it started like normal. The first incident happened two weeks ago, and this most recent one was this morning. It's a simple enough solution, but it's got me concerned that there might be an even bigger problem. Anyone have any ideas?
BTW it's a 97 2.2 with 120k mi on it.
The term 'stock' is COMPLETELY relative...
My 95 2.2 did that to me once. Went to start a new job, went out to the car to warm it up... tried to start it.... nothing. About 2 hours later, went to start it, and it started fine. Never did it after that.
Maybe it's an omen. Either way, good luck and hope it's not something really bad!!!
