my buddy called aorund here in canada at junkyards, and such, and everything was about 400 dollars canadian for a 2.4 cylinder head........ went on ebay and found a brand new one for 190 shipped from NEW hampshire to hamilton ontario......... pretty sweet i thought.......

How will this head be on an older engine?

year you want to put it on, and year of the head? IIRC, the 2.4 in late 99 had no EGR, not sure if the part # is the same, just with a block off plate or not, otherwise I believe it'll fit any 96-02 LD9.

well i'm not 100% on 2.4's But i do know that there 2 diffrent types of EGR systems on the 2.2's : electric, and manual/vacuum pump. at any rate what year was the head posted on e-bay for? ...i worked at mavis auto wreckers (mississauga) They would sell 2.4 used whole engines for $300/600 depending on kms on it i can't see a "used" head for $400 bucks?
