I have a 1997 Cavalier Z24 2.4. I have had some problems when my car would shut off at speed. I had it looked at the fist time and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Later down the road, it did it again. I checked my repair manual and it suggested it might be the fuel filter, so I replaced it. Then I replaced my cat. converter, and it ran fine. Then 2 weeks later it did it again, shut off at speed. It sounds like its not getting enough fuel. While trying to get it home, when it stalled again, the check engine and ETS OFF lights came on. Could the O2 sensor be damaged? I know it regulates the ratio of fuel and air to the motor. When I step on the gas to try and give it fuel, that seems to make it worse, like it is feeding the motor more air than fuel. Can somebody please help me get to the bottom of this problem?

have a fuel pressure test done, our cars like to burn out fuel pumps
Its not how fast your car goes....its how much nerve the driver has to push it that fast.
I had a scan done and it said that the car was running lean. It suggested something in the cat. coverter. But I just had it replaced. They told me to have a dealership scan and try a pin-point the problem. Any further suggestions on what the problem could be?
