I got my header installed a little over a month ago, and now I am getting an ABS light. My car is lowered about 1.5 inches, and i have done nothing to the brakes. The car was fine untill the header and new cat went on, so im not sure if that affected it.

Now every couple of times I drive the car, i get the light. Today it came on when i pulled out into traffic fast, or sometimes it will come on over a bump, or on a reverse to 1st shift. I really can't figure it out. Does any one have any ideas what this could be? Is it bad for the vehicle to drive with the ABS light on. If i can i usually just turn the car on and off to get rid of the light. Thanks for any help you guys can give me, i really do appreciate it.

mine was coming on and then one day it just stayed on all the time. turns out the pass. front wheel sensor wire had been rubbing something and it freyed on of the wires.. soldered it back and it all works good. check the abs sensors on each wheel and also check the wire as far as you can. its not bad for the car you just have no abs.

thanks for the really quick response. Did your light go off every time you started the car? It seems like if mine were rubbing it should do so every time i drive it. thanks again to anyone with any advice, knoledge or ideas

yea mie did sometimes. i think the wire was so thin sometimes as it barely had like a strand hangin there that when i turned the key it was too slow of a response to the computer so it turned on the light. but if i turned it on and of it would stay off. then one day it just stayed on and i checked the wires n found one that had been rubbin on something soldered it together and works great

where exactly is this wire, what should i look for? It seems like the light comes on when i turn the wheel hard when going slow, such as pulling out of a parking spot. You've been extremely helpful so far, thanks again if you can help me out further.

theres an abs sensor on each wheel.. if you turn the front wheels to one side u can stick ur head behin one wheel at a time. its like the only electrical by the wheels. there little black sensors behind every wheel on the knuckle for the fronts.

my problem was with the passenger front tire.. i had went snowboarding first time my car had ever hit snow everytime it got a little wet or something it would trigger the light then i stop and turn my car on and off.
