when I turnt he wheel either way now it makes a loud click click click kinda noise in the steering. What do I need to replace to fix this problem? I have posted before and people told me it was one of these two problems. my question is how do I know which it is. Is there a way to test each one?

It sounds like the CV joints to me. Quickest way is to look and see if the boot is cracked and if so, you should see oil behind the wheel and around the wheel well.

I have to a agree with Face, I believe youre CV joint is wornout, All you got to just look for damage on the rubber boots on either cv joint, That should be the problem, If not check out front end of youre car starting with outter tie rod ends for looseness, With the front on jacked up in the air, try to move the front tires in a up and down motion, To see if their is any play their, If so youre ball joints could be worn out. Otherwise I am pretty sure one of youre CV joints in wornout.

Good Luck

strut mounts would make a creeking noise or clunck when you go over bumps and such. it sounds like the cv joint to me. get under the car and inspect the boots, thats the easiest way to tell. if they are torn then its a very good chance thats your problem

ya that noise is only heard when I turn the wheel not when I hit bumps.
