Well first of all I have no check engine light on, No service soon light on, The problem seems to be that, when my 01 cavalier 2.2 4 spd auto is running at normal operating temp, I am noticing a little up and down drop in idling. Their is no firing missing, I am just wondering if air temp sensor could be an issue.
The cavalier has had tune up plugs / wires / TB cleaned out / New air filter /.
Anyone have any Idea's?
thanks.
do u have a tach how bad is it?
Well Brandon Schmidt : I dont have a tach, Its not too bad, Its all most like vaccum leak, Its weird, I am still thinking of checking into my fuel injectors to be serviced, That may be an issue for me to look into. Just at an idle it bumbles around a little bit, Then some days you dont notice the engine idling.
id put a can of seamfoam through it. Also chec vaccum lines good if you havent already.
I ws thinking about that seamfoam, I will try it out and see what happens, Thanks for youre info dude.
n/p let us know what happends.
Had same problem with my 02 fire - 2,2Eco - the wiring harness running the engine towards the firewall was rubbing on the end of a bolt sticking out near the driver's side wheel well. Took the tech 2 hours to find it, and told me it was not the first time he's seen it. So you might want to give that a check as well. Mine was grounding out when I turned to the right, causing the motor to shift a little to the driver's side pushing the wire into the bolt.
