So im driving to the store last night. I stopped at a stop sign, and turned right, and as i took off, the car sputtered out and died. I have an 03 LS Sport. I popped it in neutral (its an auto) and tried to start it, but it wouldnt fire. The starter was going nuts trying to start the engine, it was turning over just fine, but the d@mn engine wouldnt start. I thought, maybe battery/alternator, something like that, but my buddy tried to jump me off, and that wasnt it. Someone suggested the fuel pump, so i put the key in and turned it, and the pump didnt make the normal hum noise it does before starting the engine. I checked the relay, and that seemed to be fine. Do you think it could be the pump? Someone help me, I wanna get my baby back on the road!!!!

Sounds like a fuel pump, have someone turn the key while you listen underneath the car, or out your head on the bottom of the back seat in the middle. The hump section is right above your fuel pump.

add gas, lol. My Car did that to me 7 monthes ago, my gas guage lied to me.
hit the tank with a pipe a few times. that may temporarily wake up the pump if that's actually the problem

check all your fuses in the dash and under the hood
also this should be in maintenance

my car did the same crap to me! i was driving on the parkway telling me i had a 1/4 of gas left and then my car sputtered and left me on the side of the road, i didnt know until i was told by a mechanic i had no gas in my car.
The only thing about adding gas is that I just filled it up and i half like a half a tank...the main thing is that the pump is not working...its not engaging when I turn the key...no humming noise...does anyone know how hard it is to change a fuel pump on an 03 Ecotec? The parts store said its an in-tank pump, so im gonna have to drop the tank to replace it...
