Ecotec Belt Replacement?

Have any of you guys with the Ecotec had to replace the Serpentine Belt yet? Ive have noticed lately on mine if you listen closely that you can hear a squeak every couple seconds but its barely noticeable? My car has 34,000 miles on it and was wondering if it should be replaced already?

thanks

They are made of a special material, GM says 150,000 miles its good for.

So much for that, I guess if your confident its the belt and not a pulley replace it then.

Is there a way to tell a difference in what is causing it being the belt or pulley? If so will the factory warranty cover the pulley?

Okay lets figure this out. If you wanted to find out if it was a belt or pulley, what should you do?

Well we know it makes the sound with the belt on there. How about removing the belt and then starting the car seeing if the sound is still there. Now dont let the car run for long at all with the belt off, as the alternator isnt charging the battery.
