I have a 1997 Sunfire and it is stalling at intersections and you have to babysit it when you first start it in the cold weather here in Canada. Any ideas what I should check or might need replacing?
I'd start off with a full tune up, including air and fuel filter, oil change, spark plugs, etc. see if that helps.

I agree with Jarett, try a full tune up and filters first using GM parts. Any codes or other symtoms? Good luck
