P0107 code
Monday, March 13, 2006 7:34 PM
The check engine light came on in my 97 2.2. I had the codes read and it came up P0107 which has to do with low voltage circuit of the MAP. After inspecting the harness for the MAP and not finding any issues I went ahead and replaced the MAP sensor, but still have the same issue. Any ideas?

It hesitants and stutters real bad off idle. Once you get over the first 10-15% of throttle it runs fine. Any time it is left at idle, like at a stop light or slowing down when it is allowed to idle, when you get back on the throttle it hesitants and stutters again.

SO it idles fine but when you give it gas it tries to stall?? If so sounds like a TPS issue. Also did you check the the vacum hose on the map? (if there is one for the 2.2).

Yes it does idle fine. It begins to stall as you bring it off idle, but once a certain RPM is reached it seems fine. The map on the 2.2 sets directly on top of the throttle body so there is no hose. I will have t0 check into the TPS. What is weird is I thought maybe it was an O2 sensor so I replaced it and the check engine light goes away for a couple starts and then comes back with the stalls. Reinstall the old O2 sensor, it runs fine for a while, the check engine light comes back on and then begins to stall again.

Hey did you figure out what was going on with this. My 2.4 gets the same codes and it does the stuttering too when accelerating, but gets fine when past a certain point.

There's a TSB that might address this issue, but I don't have a membership to be able to view them...

It is 67-65-28 DEC 96, and it is titled "Map Sensor low voltage"
