I went to the dealer for the tsb pcm recall the guys said because of my intake my air is un metered wtf does that mean? how can i fix it
darkblade j
exectly what i thought i kept asking him which sensor was giving a bad reading he said its the computer because you have an intake messing with the fuel mixture this sounded like bull to me
darkblade j
he's an ass hat, we have MPA sensor, completely unaffected but alterations to intake, until you boost
Of course its bull, the O2 sensors measure the air/fuel ratio of the exhaust gas and compensate.
The real kicker of the whole deal is that guy worked at an exhust shop before the chevy dealer and totaly screwed up my exhaust. So when i was talking he said hey you usta come in to my old shop and said yea and told him how he f'ed it up so bad. He acted like it was the other people at the shop.

That mechanic is an idiot. Un-metered air would be a vacumn leak, air by-passing the throttle body or metering block is "un-metered". Dosen't matter how the air gets to the throttle body or metering block, stock air filter & housing, AEM, short ram....etc The shop scanner would tell what sensor is crapping out, if he can't read the screen find another place to do business with as they will f**k up your car.

For what he's saying to be true then all the sensors would have to be calibrated to factory parts which is
