got a problem

today my car wouldnt start... and i dont kno wat it is...it was running just two days ago... i think its the timeing belt but im dumb it sounds like its going to kick over but it dont... i have all new plugs wires and odds and ends stuff so if u guys wanna help and tell me the other reasons it may not start id be so great full ... i also have a hunch its a crank sensor but i really dont kno any thing... thnx to any one whos would like to help

Well, its not the timing belt, cause you dont have a belt, its a chain.

If its not starting it could be lack of fuel, lack of spark, maybe the starter itself.

You need to be more specific.

BTW, just cause you have new spark plugs doesnt rule out your ignition system.

thnx but i knew it was a chain but i have a new starter also and a full tank of gas... and i just got a new fuel filter

now with the specifics ... when i go to start it will not kick over at all... and it back fires too... and its hard to explain... i really think its the chain cuz its never been changed before

How many miles on the car?


Cause if the chain broke, your car would not even start. You can go 150,000+ miles before needing to change the chain.

well it has 120 thousand but it got a lot of beating b4 o bought it cuz the clucth was gone and the tires were blad and it was a mess b4 i got it... but im going to get one of the dignostic tests cuz my friend had one of those and im hoping its some sensor or somthing

Make sure you battery is good. You said it would try to kick over but wont? If so and you have a new starter then its probably your battery.
