today i was driving and then all of a sudden when i pushed my gas the engine wouldn't do anything and the it shut off. I am wondering if it could be my fuel filter because i let it run low alot and when i try to crank it, it runs for about 1 second and then it shuts off.

change your fuel filter because it is simple, then check your plugs/wires/distributor, that too is also fairly simple.
if that dosent do it , it is a sensor on my car its called a MAP sensor. im not too familiar with your car because i know nothing about it.
but as the same with all motors those three things are the element of LIFE!!

good luck!!

You have to determine if the problem is ignition or fuel related. Troubleshoot before replacing parts. Good luck.

well running your car low with less then an 1/8 of a tank, puts excessive wear on your fuel pump. so i would check that first., even a clogged fuel filter will work, just not well.

You said it starts then shuts off? Is your security light on?

You can't outrun the radio.
