I tried to jump someone's car with mine. I have the gold screw for my amp wires on the positive terminal. Well, ever since I attempted to jump that guy's car my cig lighter has been out. I replaced the fuse (15) even though the old one looked normal but my cig lighter won't respond to my various DC adapters (cell phone charger, new radar detector, spotlight, air pump). What should I do next?

Check the actual wires. and the conenctions on the tghe lighter itself. Odd however, i never use my cig lighter but it has a 20 amp fuse from factory.

Yeah, my panel is more colorful and has 15A above the CIG...I believe the colors resemble the same color fuse that each certain fuse takes. I guess I will have to get a volt-meter and play with the live wires....

My capacitor seems to be "drained" as well after I jumped that car, which also sucks (kinda...as I need an upgraded alternator).

gonna be a pain but take ur whole dash off most likely the clip behind the thing itself it either unclicked on one side or something like that ive seen it alot. if you need any help getting dash off n stuff post back
