I was driving last night and my check engine light came on, I have a 2003 cavalier with an ecotec. No funny noises or anything going on, seemed like all the power was there too. I had a highflow cat and pacesetter header put on about a month ago, thinking maybe one of the 02 sensors could be the problem. Any suggestions?
go to autozone or advance auto parts. they can read the code for you and they do it for free.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
most likely your second o2 sensor.
if a bs code not dealing with the o2 sensor comes up when you check it, then just reset by disconnecting the battery and see if it comes up again.

Code came back 0420 "catalyst efficiency below threshold". Read a few posts on other forums dealing with this and it said it is most likely a bad catalytic converter, which I just had put on a month ago and was obd2 compliant. It was a carsound converter, summit part # mpe-91035. Any suggestions, anyone know if it is the cat if there is any warranty from carsound?
