heheh..

just wanted to get a thread out and see what kind of oil everyone is using...

i used o'reilly 5W-30 and an AC-Delco Filter with my last oil change...

previously I have always used Castrol...

I'm about to switch to 5W-30 Royal Purple Oil and Wix Oil Filters though...

Havoline full synthetic or Mobil full synthetic. 5W30 for winter, 10W 30 for summer.

Opened up a potential can o' worms with this thread! LOL Penzoil just about the whole time here, with a few odd changes at the dealership. Hey, coupons are cool! Never hurts to get a free look-over by a pro. Anyway, Penzoil 5w-30, but have done Quaker State (same company??) to. I have switched over to 10w-30 now, 'cause of the age of the engine. Still not 'burning' enough to add between changes....yet (fingers and toes crossed). Went synth for a short while to avoid changing during a LONG road trip.

Mobil 1 5w-30, been thinking about going back to Amsoil.

Wear Comparison

I'll just make my statement of don't run 40 weight oil in your car its not made for it and move on...

Amsoil since break-in, hastings filters, no problems ever.

Still can't get into the mindset of letting the oil change go past 3,000 miles, but it at 3 it still looks new.

whatever the dealer puts in is what i use... prolly gonna start using some higher mileage stuff this summer tho... although i doubt i'll need to change the oil more than once this summer...
