Can you switch from OBD 2 to OBD 1 in 2001 cavalier, if so how?

Your gonna have to change the whole computer at the very least.

But the big question is why?

nope...not only that but imn guessing a large amounts of your sensors would have to be changed...might as well get a stand alone

The HO/LO is OBD-1, as well as some 3100's...

according to his profile he has no car, so for all we know he could have a 2.2L

i did it on my 97. i used a 95 OBD1 ecu. All i have to do is repin the ecu plug. Sensors works fine. But for 00+ i really dont know since you have a bcm....
BTW, i have a 2.4L
