1996 Pontiac Sunfire GT, 2.4, 4spd. auto. My tilt steering wheel has a lot of slop (forward/backward) on the pivot pins. Anyone know the fix? Thanks.
Now I've never had this problem happen to me, but I do recall reading on here about a year ago that you would have to replace the whole pivot "tilt" part in the column. I recall other members saying it's easier to get one from a junk yard and put it in rather then trying to fix yours. Something about the channel or the teeth wearing out.
