i just got the Pacesetter header for my sunfire. and a few weeks after i put it on i can here a leak when im driveing it. i checked the springs where the header goes to the down pipe and there tight . the bolts on the header do they have to be set at ft pounds? they seemed to be tight to. you can here it when the cars idleing or when you hit the gas.
Pacesetter header have crappy gaskets, thats moslikly where the problem lies.
yea they looked @!#$y when i put it on kinda like paper. if that is the proplem can i just change it.
yup, same thing happened to me, i unbolted the header, scraped off all of the old gasket, and put on a stock gasket and have had no issues

also, did u re-torque your bolts after the car wamred up and cooled down the first time?
i did loot at the bolts bc i was hereing metal vibrate so i thought he springes where lose on the down pipe and they where tight and so i checked the screws on the header and they where tight. what ft pound do they need to be at? i just used a wrench till they where tight.
The pacesetter gasket is junk. When i put my header on i got a new metal one from GM and it's fine. The bolts with the springs from the header to the ball joint, on mine i
spun them on pretty tight and compressed the springs about half way. I've had no issues and it's been on since November and i drive it every day. Hope that helps.
