When is it suggested that a car should go in for a general maintenance tune-up. Also what needs to be done what things are critical to get checked/serviced. If it makes a difference Im more concerned when my 2001 Z24 needs to be serviced.
Thanks all
2001 chevy cavy z24... Aem intake fed by hood scoop.. and exhaust... hopefully more to come soon
Air filter
Spark plugs (AC DELCO)-
Fuel filter
being 2001.. i doubt coolant change unless high mileage 75k +
Check all fluids.. Tranny, power steering, brake, coolant
wouldnt be a bad idea to probably change coolant and tranny fluid
fill the tank of and put some techron fuel system cleaner in.
plugwires , oil change , air filter , fuel filter , plugs , check all fluids and get some intake cleaner and spray that sucker in to clean out your throttle body.
Actually dont add ANYTHING ever to your gas tank.
For one there already is cleaners that come in the gas you buy. Just like these boneheads that buy HEET, WTF gas is 10% ethanol, ethanol is gasoline antifreeze in itself, ethanol will ever freeze, because of its make up it will never ever freeze. Gas line freezing under 1/2 is also an old myth that goes back into early carburator days.
Secondly adding anything increases the alchol content by more than 10% which is actually bad for the car.
Pouring any @!#$ into your tank is nothing but a bottle of alchol ( not the drinking type by the way, the other type), just plain dumb to do.
