Had my wheel bearings replaced Thursday. (all 4)
Now when ever I cut the wheel more than 1/2 of its rotation I get a poping noice from the front suspension.
Has anyone had this problem before?
At first i thought it could be the axle. Now that im thinking more into, it almost sounds like the sway bar end links are the 'cause of it.
I got underneath it and it all looked ok. The end links, although the bushings looked very worn, were still connected, and for what I could see, the axles were in place.

its a 1997 Cavalier LS Sedan, 2.4L and 4l40e trans.
and why im here, I have another problem to ask about. Im getting a weird rattling sound noice in the rear area. Only when i hit bumps or go thru a bumppy area... Could this rattle be sturt mounts?
...
Not sure about the first question, but the answer to the second one is that it most likely is the strut mounts. I have the same problem. Eventually I'll be replacing mine, but since it's not critical to the car's safety, I'll let it ride for a while
thats what i thought.
now for an answer on the poping.

Wheel bearings are inside the sealed wheel cube and when fried do make a kind of popping sound especially on zig-zag turns believe me I replaced a lot of parts till finally getting to the cause of the noise. Try to narrow the noise to right or left side and as you should be on warranty make them change it .
its louder on the passenger side... i think i am going to have to take it in and have them look at it again... I am only getting it from the front

I just replaced both front hub assemblies last weekend, and I got the same popping sound you're describing. I thought it was from allowing the front struts to fully extend when I jacked it up, so I called Midas and had new struts put on. That didn't fix it.
Mine had a defective new hub assembly. It only popped when turning while driving slowly, like when parking. In normal driving it was quiet. I replaced the noisy one, and the problem is gone.

hey, does this defective hub assembly or wheel bearing causes other side effects? Like when usually I hear that popping sound on my car, I notice my headlights flickers then come back on normal.
I have this same problem a popping noise usually at low speeds typically turning to the right going anywhere fromm 0-30 mph and sometimes when i put on the brakes could this be my problem?
when my left front wheel bearing was bad, it made more of a grinding noise than a popping, and it was when i turned the wheel to the left i think it was, it would kinda sound like a brrrrt sort of sound. Replaced the wheel bearing, sound was gone.
