ok, I know exactly how theft lock works. last time, a little wire going to my ignition switch disconnected for some reason. and I couldnt figure out why my car wouldnt start for like 2 days, until i saw that lol. I figured it was some sortof key sensor or something. anyway, if i couldnt get my own car to start, does this mean it really is ANTI THEFT? as in, nobody can steal my car? unless of course they tow it, but thats not the point. so my car is absolutely unstealable (if thats even a word). so
1. they cant hot wire it
2. they cant try and use another key
3. I also have an aftermarket alarm, so its not like theyll have time to have the system relearn the key
enlighten me, am i right?
Are you sure it wasn't just the positive wire going to the starter?
yes they could still use another key.. our keys have no kind of chips in them or anything so they could possibly jam the key or w/e im pretty sure. but no they could not wire it i think the actual theft lock is jsut to read theres a key in the ign.
either way if someone wanted a car some stock security system isnt gonna stand in the way of it
well it was a little black connection, i dont think it was the positive wire, cause it would start then die, and the theft lock light would turn on.
