when open. it's not keeping it from working, just don't want it to get worse. it's a convertable. i looked at the hinges and saw no loose items. anyone else had this prob?

Well without haveing a definate year to work with I checked out a few different ones starting with an 89 and going to 95 and I'd say your bushings are worn out. Any dealer
has them for a few bucks.

thx for the good news. would have given better specs but frankly i don't know. my moms ride, shes not home so. . .
has this happened to yours? if not how'd you find the info?

yah my 95 sunfire is doing the same looks like the pins maybe tho and they dont come out .
