I need the top metal plate from th 95-99 style mounts, they did not come with the new ones i just bought. i can get them at the junkyard but i have to get to them, without an impact wrench.
i have taken everything off on my own car with exception to the top strut nut with hand tools so that not a big deal. any suggestions for doing this with no power. I do remember something about vise grips but nothing specific.
I believe the 95-99 requires an allen wrench to help take the strut apart. Just get the right size wrench and break them loose while they are on the car.

to get the top nut off you just need the right size socket and a pair of channel locks or anything else like that to hold the strut while you take the top off. make sure you have a spring compressor when you take it off if its still on oem springs
most yards (the ones i worked at) will take it off for you and they'll lift it up on the forklift impact gun 3/8 socket the top nuts and bing see yaaaaa they sell both the spring and strut as one
