anyone know, i think they are OBD but i read that some 95 cars are OBD2
Supposedly they are OBD but I could not use the OBD plug from my scan tool and had to use the OBD2 plug. So IDK maybe someone else can shed some light on this.
all the 3rd gens are OBD2.... Some vehicles aout there are OBD1 that require OBD2 plugs are out there such as the Aurora(halfbreed) but Im 99.9% sure that the 3rd gen J's are all OBD2

The 2.3's are obd-1 with an odb-2 port, same with the auto 2.2's i do believe. 96-on is all obd-2. The 2.3 is definitely obd-1 with an obd-2 port.
do a search next time
95 2.3 5spd is obd1 , the 2.3 auto was odb2
im not positive on the 2.2 ohv , but my guess would be they are set up the same way , and the auto would depend on wether its the 3 or 4 spd
96 was the first full year for obd2
all the 95's i know of have the obd2 aldl plug
I have a '95 2.2L OHV with manual tranny, and it appeared to have an ODB-II port. I tried to scan it with an Actron but it kept giving me a link error. I took it into the dealer and he was able to scan it. He said that mine was a "crossover" model thats neither ODB-I or ODB-II. It needed one of their scanners to read it.
is it obd1? YES...the manual ones were
does it have an obd2 port ? YES.. they all do
sometimes youll hear quad guys refer to that years pcm as a obd1.5
good luck with scan tools..you cant just pull a code on them
Ahh crap... quoted the wrong part...
Hold on...
