I bought a used 99 Z24 recently and there is a strange rumbling sound coming from the front end on the right side. I didn't notice it when I bought it because it only happens at higher speeds, above 50. The sound and vibration is almost like I am driving over rumble strips on the road, and it only happens if I am steering to the right. If I steer exactly straight or to the left, it goes away. I am wondering if the right wheel itself has a slight wobble to it or the bolts are not tightened properly. The dealer said it was bad bearings but I don't think they have a clue. Anyone have this same problem before or any ideas?
sounds like a wheel bearing.
yep second that you need a wheel bearing, get it done asap!
Sounds like a bearing all right.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Well, so much for it being simple like tire balancing or something like that. Thanks for the input.
